A picture of former Big Brother Naija housemate, Beverly Osu, is making waves in the Internet.
Beverly Osu is NOW TRENDING on social media because of a controversial picture she posted on Instagram, in which she was clad in a nun’s outfit, clutching a rosary in one hand and holding a cigarette in the other. WTF!
The picture was the cover photograph of an edition of the Taylor Live magazine.
The controversial actress posted the picture on Monday.
The photos, however, generated a lot of reactions, especially on the seeming disrespect for the Catholic faith.
In his comment on the photograph, Paul, a member of the defunct P-Square group, said: “All the Deputy Jesus will come after you,” while Adaeze Yobo, wife of Joseph Yobo, former Super Eagles player, supported the pose, stating: “I actually love”.
Annie Idibia, wife of legendary Nigerian singer, 2face, also showed her support, saying: “He who is without sin should cast the first stone! Wrong is wrong! Sin is Sin! Too deep a thing to say BF. Let’s remember that is it only God that can/will judge even the priest who raped."
However, there were negative reactions to the post, as a comment by @Tutsy22 read: “Beverly Osu should have respected that rosary in her hand. This is Despicable!!!”
@theDamorela, sharing the pictures via his Twitter handle, wrote: “Although people have abused sacred materials a lot including Rosaries. But what Beverly Osu did in this shoot is outrageously disgusting. Smoking in a seductive nun attire wit Rosary at hand? Rosary is meant 4 prayers, Christians won’t come after you though, but leave you to your conscience”
