Grammy-winning Duo Daft Punk Break Up After 28 Years.

Grammy-winning electronic music pioneers Daft Punk have announced that they are breaking up after 28 years. The helmet-wearing French duo shared the news Monday in an 8-minute video called "Epilogue." Kathryn Frazier, the band's longtime publicist, confirmed the break up for The Associated Press. Daft Punk, comprised of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, have had major success over the years, winning six Grammy Awards and launching international hits with "One More Time," "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" and "Get Lucky." Bangalter and de Homem-Christo met at a Paris school in 1987. Prior to Daft Punk, they formed an indie rock band named Darling. They officially formed Daft Punk in 1993, and the helmeted, mute and mysterious musicians released their debut album, "Homework," 1997. COVID 19: NAFDAC Approves AstraZeneca Vaccine For Use In Nigeria.

Nigeria’s National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, Thursday approved the use of Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID_19 vaccine for use in the country. In a press conference, Thursday morning, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye,Director-General of NAFDAC said the agency received the dossier of the vaccine a week ago, and the NAFDAC safety committee went to work immediately to evaluate its safety and efficacy for Nigerians. Prof. Adeyeye said the vaccine can be stored at 2 to 8-degree centigrade. According to the DG, there are three additional vaccines undergoing evaluation, but the evaluation on Astrazeneca shows that the vaccine is effective against the UK variant of the virus which has been reported in Nigeria. She further disclosed that the South African variant has not been reported in Nigeria and that the agency has over 30 herbal medicine undergoing review for listing. Nigerian woman who works with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice dies after testing positive for Covid-19.

Correctional Officer IV Tawiwo Obele, 68, tested positive for COVID-19 in unit mass testing on January 31, 2021. Obele, who was assigned to the Beto Unit in Palestine, was hospitalized in Palestine on February 9, 2021 with COVID symptoms but was released the same day. She later fell ill and had to be transported to a Tyler hospital. She died in the early morning hours of February 16, 2021. Officer Obele was a well-respected faithful teammate who was a known as a mother figure to all,” said Kirt Stiefer, TDCJ Beto Unit Senior Warden. “She would often pray with others and enjoyed sharing her passion of Christ. Officer Obele will be truly missed by the many that were blessed by having her in their lives.” The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has had forty employees who have died in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Secondary School student caught with a gun she planned on using to shoot her teacher in Cross River.

A secondary school student was caught in her school with a local gun she allegedly planned to use in shooting one of her teachers. The girl, reported to be a student of Government Secondary School in Ikot Ewa, Cross River State, was asked by a teacher to cut her coloured hair and she was allegedly angered by this. Consequently, she arrived at school with a gun. A Twitter user, @seundreew took to the microblogging platform to share, alongside photos.....

According to the singer and songwriter in the video he shared on his Instagram page, he spends #15k on each haircut and it happens 5 times a month. This he said amounts to a total of N75,000 monthly and N840,000 yearly. In the video, B-Red said; “I just sat down and calculated, I barb my hair five times every month and I can only use one barber which is CY. And… he charges N20k every cut but because I use him five times a month, he lets me pay N15k a cut. Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny has become the WWE 24/7 Champion. This is how it came about; Bad Bunny and Damian Priest were getting interviewed backstage by Sarah Schreiber on Monday Night RAW (revealing that Bad Bunny would be performing on SNL this weekend) when out from nowhere, Akira Tozawa pins R-Truth for the title. Backing up, Tozawa bumps into Priest who then proceeds to launch his head into a number of hard storage cases. Priest then gestures Bad Bunny to pin the unconscious Tozawa — making him the new 24/7 titleholder. Congratulations,  Bad Bunny❤✌

Alleged domestic violence: Court remands Singer Lil Frosh in Ikoyi Prison till March 2021.

Singer Lil Frosh has been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Gift Camile. Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba, ordered his remand on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. According to reports, The International Federation of Women Lawyers ( FIDA) Lagos State chapter got involved in the case and were reportedly actively involved the arraignment of the rapper. It is understood that Lil Frosh, who earlier denied the allegations, was invited by the operatives to the Federal Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Alagbon, on February 4, 2021, for interrogation. He however pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault punishable under Section 173 of the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State 2015. The matter was adjourned to 9th March 2021 for mention, while the Court ordered the remand of the Defendant and advised him to bring an application for bail.

Former WWE Superstar Tyler Reks Announces Gender Transition.

Former WWE Superstar Tyler Reks, real-name Gabbi Tuft has revealed she is going through a gender transition after wrestling with a secret persona for years. Tuft proudly revealed a change of name, from Gabe to Gabbi, and pronouns, from he/him to she/her, ahead of the medical phase of her gender transition. Gabbi Tuft will be best known to WWE fans as Tyler Reks, who joined WWE in January 2008, wrestling on the ECW brand initially before becoming a member of the SmackDown roster in 2010. Reks teamed with Curt Hawkins – and the pair even shared the ring with Undertaker and Kane – before Reks was released in August 2012.
