Drake FINALLY shares photos of his son.

American rapper, Drake shared a first picture of himself with his 2-year-old son Adonis, alongside an emotional message detailing his thoughts on fatherhood and the coronavirus pandemic. The 33-year-old rapper, who is rumored to be bisexual, fathered the curly-haired toddler with unemployed adult movie actress and French artist Sophie Brussaux in October 2017. The Toronto lyricist initially denied he was Adonis's dad after Sophie tried to obtain a DNA test to establish paternity. Drake was forced to acknowledge his son after rap rival Pusha T revealed the surprise news in a 2018 diss track. Now Drake seems to be fully embracing being a dad. The "Hotline Bling" hitmaker posted a picture of Adonis sitting on his knee on his Instagram page on Monday. He also shared his thoughts about fatherhood and the coronavirus pandemic.

Phebean Ajibola Ogundipe, author of famous English textbooks, Practical English and Brighter Grammar has died at the age of 92. Mrs Ogundipe, popularly known as P.A Ogundipe, died in Charlotte, North Carolina in the United States on Friday and she was laid to rest on the same day. May her soul Rest In Peace.

Germany’s Finance Minister commits suicide over COVID19.

Thomas Schaefer, the finance minister of Germany's Hesse state, has committed suicide after becoming extremely worried over how to cope with the economic fallout from the coronavirus. The 54-year-old was found dead near a railway track on Saturday. Hesse is home to Germany's financial capital, Frankfurt. Schaefer had been working "day and night" to help companies and workers deal with the economic impact of the pandemic.

President Donald Trump says US will not pay for Harry and Meghan's security.

Donald Trump says the US will not foot the bill for Harry and Meghan's security, writing on Twitter: "They must pay!" The president's remarks come after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved from Canada to California. He wrote: "I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. "Now they have left Canada for the U.S. However, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!"

Explosion in Akure, many houses destroyed.

An explosion has occurred along Akure-Owo expressway, a few kilometres from the Akure metropolis. Residents of the area said they believe the explosion was caused by bombs, although the police are still investigating the matter. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Saturday. The blast cut off the ever busy Akure /Owo road while many people were said to be injured. The incident which happened less than a kilometre to Akure Airport, affected many residents of Eleyowo community, destroying completely a church and a school in the area. Many people who lived with in the the church premises were said to be  injured while some were rescued by the people of the community.. This is a developing story...

Rapper Scarface, 49, tests positive for COVID-19 virus!!

Legendary Houston rapper Scarface, who had been battling an illness for weeks, was told he tested positive for coronavirus. Scarface, whose real name is Brad Jordan, made the announcement in an interview on Willie D's YouTube channel on Thursday. Willie D and Scarface were members of the rap group Geto Boys.

Davido Says His fiancee Chioma tests Positive For #Coronavirus!!

Nigerian Singer Davido’s fiancee, Chioma Rowland, has tested positive for coronavirus, 13 days after arriving from London. In a statement by the singer, Chioma tested positive after a test was conducted on himself, his baby, fiancee and 28 others, whom he has been exposed to. He however announced his four-month old baby, Ifeanyi David Adeleke jr, is negative. “Hey everyone! I came back recently from America after canceling the tour. My fiancé Chioma also came back from London recently with our baby. “We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history, we decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March,” Davido wrote. Somali Football Legend Abdulkadir Mohamed Farah Dies Of COVID-19.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Somali Football Federation (SFF) have announced the passing away of Somali legend Abdulkadir Mohamed Farah after suffering from coronavirus. Farah passed away at a Northwest London Hospital on Tuesday after testing positive to the deadly virus last week. He was 59. Before his death, Farah was acting as an advisor to the Minister of Youth and Sport in Somalia. Farah becomes the first African football star to be lost to the coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed over 20,000 lives across the world.

Meghan Markle Narrating Disney Plus Nature Documentary ‘Elephants’.

Meghan Markle will narrate the Disneynature documentary “Elephant,” which is set to debut April 3 on Disney Plus, the studio announced Thursday. It will mark the first project for Markle after she and her husband, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, officially step away from their roles within the British Royal Family on March 31. Earlier this year, news broke that Markle had partnered with Disney on an unspecified project after she and her husband  Prince Harry   revealed  they would be stepping back from their royal duties. Notably, Disneynature’s announcement credits Markle as “Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex,” rather than including her previous royal title of “HRH.”

Law & Order: SVU costumer Josh Wallwork has died from coronavirus complications at age 45. “Heartbroken we are. #BREAKING: PM Boris Johnson tests positive for coronavirus.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for coronavirus. Mr Johnson said he developed mild symptoms over the past 24 hours, including a temperature and cough. He said he will now self-isolate in No 10 but will "continue to lead the government's response via video-conference as we fight this virus". Mr Johnson was last seen on Thursday night, as he clapped outside No 10 as part of a nationwide gesture to thank NHS staff. In a video on his Twitter account, Mr Johnson said: "I'm working from home and self-isolating and that's entirely the right thing to do. "But, be in no doubt that I can continue thanks to the wizardry of modern technology to communicate with all my top team to lead the national fightback against coronavirus. "I want to thank everybody involved and, of course, our amazing NHS staff." He was tested at No 10 by NHS staff, on the personal advice of England's chief medical officer, Professor Chris Whitty

WWE Superstar, Roman Reigns has pulled OUT of WrestleMania 36 - putting plans for the show in chaos. The 34-year-old wrestler did not feel comfortable competing during the coronavirus outbreak after a brave battle with blood cancer leukaemia. The dad-of-three is understood to not want to risk his own health by filming the pay-per-view at the WWE's Performance Center. McMahon was forced to move 'Mania and pre-tape the programme over the coronavirus pandemic, which is sweeping the globe. Reigns was diagnosed with leukaemia for a second time in 2018, but returned the following year after fighting back. However, his immune system was lowered during treatment for the illness and understandably the family man does not want to take risks.

Lagos government begins disinfection of bus stops, motor parks, public spaces over coronavirus.

The Lagos state government has commenced massive disinfection of usually crowded bus stops, car parks, markets and other public spaces, as Nigeria’s confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) figures continue to rise. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on March 25, 2020, that 51 persons have now tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Africa’s most populous nation. 32 of this number were detected in Lagos.

UCH shuts down major operations as doctors self-isolate.

The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan Oyo State, has suspended key services due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. The suspension of consultation services to regular outpatients was announced by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Jesse Otegbayo, on Wednesday. Mr Otegbayo said other departments in the hospital will also stop rendering services till further notice. The units affected are outpatients clinics, medicine and surgery and paediatric departments. Mr Otegbayo said the action became necessary due to the “accidental exposure of some doctors in the institution to some suspected Covid-19 patients”. He said that the suspension was to curtail the spread of the deadly disease. With the suspension of these services, this implies that scores of people who regularly access medical treatment from the institution will no longer have access to it until further notice. Federal Inland Revenue Service Retires Directors.

The board of the Federal Inland Revenue Service has permitted the retirement of all administrators, who had served not less than eight years with the organisation. The appointment of 4 Coordinating Directors and two Group Leads in an appearing capacity was also permitted by the board. Director of Communications and Liaison Department of the FIRS, Abdullahi Ahmad, made the announcement on Wednesday. He said, “The FIRS Board took this decision at its emergency meeting No. 2. held on Friday, March 20, 2020, during which it also approved the retirement of all directors who have served for eight years and above as directors in the Service, in line with Para 10.1(a)(iii) of Human Resources Policy and Programmes of the FIRS statute.”

Harvey Weinstein tests positive for Coronavirus.

Former movie producer Harvey Weinstein, who is serving a prison sentence for sexual assault and rape, has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the head of the state corrections officers union. Weinstein, 68, has been placed in isolation at Wende Correctional Facility, said Michael Powers, president of the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association. Powers said he learned that the test came back positive on Sunday morning and is concerned about the corrections officers, who he said lack proper protective equipment. Several staff have been quarantined, Powers said.

CBN To Remain Operational While COVID-19 Lasts.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) yesterday said that it will remain operational during the COVID-19 period. The apex bank however said that non essential staff in its headquarter and 37 branches will stay at home and work remotely in the spirit of social distancing. Director, Corporate Communication, Isaac Okoroafor disclosed this in a statement issued yesterday. He said:  “ Following the current impact of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) on the global economy coupled with efforts by the Nigerian Government, including partial lockdown in some states and at the Federal level, to check the spread of the virus in Nigeria, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) wishes to inform stakeholders and members of the Nigerian public that the bank will remain open for business during this period. “As a responsible public institution and regulator, we have triggered our business continuity plans to ensure that the bank’s operations remain largely undisrupted at this present time when

Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales and heir to the British throne, has tested positive for the new coronavirus. The 71-year-old is displaying mild symptoms "but otherwise remains in good health", a Clarence House spokesman said on Wednesday, adding that he was self-isolating at a royal estate in Scotland. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has also been tested but does not have the virus.

Central Bank devalues Naira; restores uniform exchange rate.

The much-vaunted devaluation of the Naira came into force on Friday despite the denial by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) last week that same was not on the cards. The apex bank on Friday sold dollars to deposit money banks at the rate of N380 to one dollar signaling the official return of a single exchange rate regime in the country’s foreign exchange market. An official circular by the Director, Trade and Exchange department of the CBN, Ozoemena Nnaji, said the development is part of efforts by the apex bank to establish a uniform rate between the official and the parallel market rates for bureau de change operators. The circular was on the disbursement of the proceeds of the International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO). With the new rate, the CBN has effectively collapsed the multiple exchange rate policy used in determining the value of the Naira since June 2016. The country will now have a single exchange rate for official transactions and bureau de change operators

American country music legend Kenny Rogers has died aged 81.

A family representative said he "passed away peacefully at home from natural causes". Rogers topped pop and country charts during the 1970s and 1980s, and won three Grammy awards. Known for ballads including The Gambler, Lucille and Coward Of The County, his career spanned more than six decades. He once summed up his popularity by explaining that he believed his ballads "say what every man wants to say and that every woman wants to hear". He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013 and, that same year, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Country Music Association. In their statement his family said he "left an indelible mark on the history of American music".

Ben Murray-Bruce,entertainment entrepreneur & former senator representing Bayelsa east, has lost his wife to cancer. Bruce, who announced her demise on Friday, said she died of cancer. The businessman said he is broken and devastated by the passing of his wife of 43 years. He described her as a “blessing” who “touched the lives of everyone she met”. “I’m broken. Just lost my beautiful wife to cancer. She was my best friend for 43 years and my wife for 41 years. Cancer is real, but it shouldn’t be a death sentence – awareness, and early detection and treatment are key to survival. I miss her so so much. Houses Burnt, Vehicles Damaged As Explosion Rocks Abule Ado In Amuwo Odofin.

A massive explosion which rocked Lagos on Sunday morning has led to the destruction of houses in different parts of the state. Residents of Ijegun, Ikotun, Egbeda, Abule Ado, Okotoa, Isheri Olofin, FESTAC, Satellite Town said they were affected by the explosion. The Federal Fire Service tweeted that its men are making efforts to get information on the incident. “We are in touch with our men in Fire Stations around Badagry and Festac, we are trying to gather more information as regards the reported explosion in Lagos State, Nigeria. We are on it,” the service tweeted.
