Medical Doctor Warns Ladies On The Dangers Of Fixing Eyelashes.

A Medical practitioner, Dr Ayopo Adeyemi, on Sunday warned women against the use of artificial eyelashes, commonly used to enhance beauty, in view of its grievous consequences. Adeyemi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the health implications of fixing false eyelashes included corneal abrasions or ulcers, damage of the natural eyelashes, eye sensitivity, amongst others. She said fixing of artificial eyelashes had become an increasingly popular trend in the fashion world as most ladies, regardless of the health implications, seek perfection and glamour. According to her, natural eyelashes had its natural way of preventing dirt, sweat, bacteria and other foreign materials from entering into the eye by trapping and keeping out anything that comes near. Adeyemi, a practitioner at Mushin General Hospital, Lagos, said false eyelashes would accommodate the dirt, thereby causing different forms of allergy and infections. “The use of harmful chemicals on the e

Happy Democracy Day, Nigeria!

Democracy Day is a public holiday in Nigeria. It is held annually on May 29. This public holiday commemorates the restoration of democracy in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, when the newly elected Olusegun Obasanjo took office as the President of Nigeria in May 1999 ending multiple decades of military rule that began in 1966 and had been interrupted only by a brief period of democracy from 1979 to 1983. After gaining independence in 1960 from Great Britain, Nigeria fell prey to civil war and the first of so many military coups in 1966. Democracy was briefly restored from 1979 to 1983 to the country, but for most of its independent history, Nigeria was ruled by a series of military juntas. The last major military ruler, Gen. Sani Abacha, died suddenly in 1998. His successor, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar promised a transition to democracy, and accordingly a new constitutionwas adopted on May 5th, 1999. Elections were held and retired Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, who had previously governe

Bobby Lashley Vs Sami Zayn Announced For Money In The Bank.

Bobby Lashley and Sami Zayn will clash at WWE Money in the Bank in a highly personal showdown for family honor and vertigo retribution. In case you've missed it, Zayn has been harboring a bit of a grudge against Bobby Lashley, who he believes has gone out of his way to embarrass him by returning to Raw on the same night that Zayn arrived on Team Red. Furthermore, Lashley executed a stalling suplex so savage that it gave Zayn the first documented case of vertigo in WWE history, at least according to Sami. Proclaiming himself to be the recipient of Lashley’s personal victimization, the former NXT Champion disputed the notion that Lashley was the type of kind-hearted family man he proclaimed himself to be during a sit-down interview with Renee Young. In fact, Zayn claimed to have gotten the real dirt on Lashley by contacting the powerful Superstar’s three sisters — a truth he promised to unveil by bringing them to Raw. Instead of producing the sisters, however, Zayn hired t

FBI Warns Russians Hacked Hundreds Of Thousands Of Routers.

The FBI warned on Friday that Russian computer hackers had compromised hundreds of thousands of home and office routers and could collect user information or shut down network traffic. The U.S. law enforcement agency urged the owners of many brands of routers to turn them off and on again and download updates from the manufacturer to protect themselves. The warning followed a court order Wednesday that allowed the FBI to seize a website that the hackers planned to use to give instructions to the routers. Though that cut off malicious communications, it still left the routers infected, and Friday's warning was aimed at cleaning up those machines. Infections were detected in more than 50 countries, though the primary target for further actions was probably Ukraine, the site of many recent infections and a longtime cyberwarfare battleground. In obtaining the court order, the Justice Department said the hackers involved were in a group called Sofacy that answered to the Rus
