John Cena Is The Newwwwww WWE Champion!!

The Nature Boy finally has some company in the elite 16-Timers Club. With his WWE Championship win over AJ Styles at WWE Royal Rumble, John Cena racked up the 16th World Title of his career, tying Ric Flair for the most World Championship reigns in sports-entertainment history. The incredible achievement snapped a two-year-plus championship drought for Cena. The Cenation Leader’s last World Title reign ended Aug. 17, 2014, when Brock Lesnar defeated him at SummerSlam to claim the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Flair, who held the WWE Championship twice and the WCW and NWA Championships a combined 14 times over the course of his WWE Hall of Fame career, stood alone atop the record books for nearly 17 years.

Bobby Roode Wins NXT Championship At NXT Takeover....

Bobby Roode is the new NXT Champion after he defeated Shinsuke Nakamura at NXT Takeover: San Antonio. Roode defeated Nakamura after taking advantage of an apparent knee injury after Nakamura landed on the apron after a Kinshasa attempt. The final moments of the match saw Nakamura hit a successful Kinshasa in the ring, but couldn’t make the cover and trainers came in to check on him. Nakamura told the trainers he could compete, but Roode raced over and planted him with a Glorious DDT as the match restarted for a two count. Roode applied a half crab, then Nakamura kicked out and Roode dropped Nakamura with a second Glorious DDT for the win. This is Roode’s first reign as NXT Champion; Nakamura’s second reign ends at 56 days after winning the title back in Osaka, Japan.

Serena Williams Beats Venus Williams To Set Grand Slam Record.

Serena Williams beat sister Venus in straight sets to win her seventh Australian Open and an Open-era record 23rd Grand Slam singles title. Serena, 35, won 6-4 6-4 to pass Steffi Graf in the all-time list of major winners since the Grand Slams accepted professional players in 1968. The American regains the number one ranking from German Angelique Kerber. Australia's Margaret Court, with 24, is the only player still ahead of Serena in terms of Grand Slam singles titles. "Congratulations Serena on number 23," said Venus, who at 36 is the oldest Australian Open finalist in the Open era. "I have been right there with you, some of them I lost right there against you. Robin Thicke Given Temporary Restraining Order Against Paula Patton & Their Son.

Paula Patton accuses ex-husband Robin Thicke of physically and emotionally abusing her and their son, prompting the judge to give him a temporary restraining order. A temporary restraining order has been issued against singer Robin Thicke during his ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife, actress Paula Patton, over the custody of their 6-year-old son Julian, reports USA Today. Thicke must stay away from Patton, and Julian will remain in his mother's custody until a hearing on Feb. 24. Until then, Thicke will only be allowed to see Julian on monitored visits. The custody battle began earlier this month when Patton took legal action in an effort to mitigate Thicke's joint custody of their son. She accused her ex-husband of physically abusing their son -- citing excessive spanking -- and also mentioned Thicke's alleged problems with drinking and drug abuse. Though Thicke admitted to spanking Julian, he was cleared of any wrongdoing by Child Protective Services a day aft

Mickie James WWE.

Throughout much of Mickie James’ WWE career, there are some who considered her a peppy, energetic sweetheart. But she’s proven to be as dangerous in the ring as any that came before her. A lifelong Virginian, Mickie spent years honing her craft with a goal of becoming one of the greatest female Superstars in history. To this end, the athletic master of a ring-pounding Implant DDT has gone to war with the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, Maryse, Gail Kim and Alicia Fox. She fought in legendary battles against Beth Phoenix and against simply “flawless” adversaries Team LayCool, Michelle McCool and Layla. And she did it all while amassing WWE gold and all the glory that came with it. Mickie has captured five Women’s Championships, and at one point, become the second Superstar to hold both the Women’s and the Divas Titles simultaneously. She did this all while establishing herself as one of the alpha females of WWE and a true force to be wrecked with across the board. Though Mic

Ronda Rousey Road Tripped To Standing Rock.

Ronda Rousey got political last week -- with a secret run to the Standing Rock Indian Reservation to help protesters fighting against the Dakota Access Pipeline project. The UFC star teamed up with fellow Olympic judo athlete Pauline Macias and went to the protest site in North Dakota to deliver supplies. A source said Ronda's group brought fresh fruit, veggies, bread, tents and wood-burning stoves. One source says Ronda didn't want recognition and tried to stay under the radar. By the way, Ronda was SMILING again -- which is great because we haven't seen a lot of that lately. As for the protest, the Standing Rock Sioux tribe has led the charge against the 1,000 mile oil pipeline claiming a possible spill could damage important Native American cultural sites and pollute drinking water. Pauline Instagrammed about the experience with Rousey saying, "I had one of the best road trips of my life with @rondarousey to deliver supplies to the protesters at Standing R

Mary Tyler Moore Passes Away.

Mary Tyler Moore, the trailblazing comedic actress who redefined the depiction of women on television, passed away Wednesday of cardiac arrest at age 80. Though many know her best from her iconic leading role as Mary Richards on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” the WWE Universe may remember Moore from her brief cameo on The Grandest Stage of Them All — and for an unexpected gift she received from a WWE Hall of Famer. At WrestleMania VI, Moore sat ringside inside Toronto’s SkyDome, giving her a close-up look at the heated battles of the evening. She watched as Jake “The Snake” Roberts knocked The Million Dollar Man down to size after their battle for the Million Dollar Championship. Afterwards, Roberts started passing out DiBiase’s roll of $100 bills, which included a special bill being given to Moore. Moments later, ringside interviewer Sean Mooney gauged Moore’s enjoyment for sports-entertainment. The seven-time Emmy Award winner replied with glowing approval. “It’s terrific,”

Usain Bolt has been stripped of one of his nine Olympic gold medals in a doping case involving teammate Nesta Carter. Carter and Bolt were teammates on the winning 4×100-meter relay team. The IOC says “the Jamaican team is disqualified” and “the corresponding medals, medalist pins and diplomas are withdrawn and shall be returned.” The relay title in Beijing completed the first of Bolt’s three gold-medal sweeps in the 100, 200 and relay at three straight Olympics. Trinidad and Tobago is in line to get the gold medal from 2008, Japan could be upgraded to silver, and fourth-place finisher Brazil could get the bronze medal. Carter testified by videoconference to an IOC disciplinary hearing held in Lausanne on Oct. 17. The IOC’s ruling states that Carter noted he was taking supplements in 2008 “advised in

'LAMBADA' Singer Loalwa Braz Found Dead In Brazil.

The singer, who was 63, was found close to her home in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro, with local police confirming that the circumstances of her death are unknown. Braz is best known for providing the Portuguese vocals on 1989 international hit Lambada, which was released by French group Koama. Selling millions of copies worldwide, the tune and lyrics were based on a Bolivian song, though the title came from a dance style in northern Brazil. While the song was released almost thirty years ago, it remains just as relevant among the artists of today. Jennifer Lopez's 2010 smash hit On the Floor was inspired by the track, which went on to become one of the most watched videos on YouTube. Meet RuPaul, The Famous Drag Queen On The Planet.

RuPaul Andre Charles (born November 17, 1960), known professionally by his mononym RuPaul, is an American actor, drag queen, model, author, television personality, and recording artist. Since 2009, he has hosted and produced the drag queen reality show RuPaul's Drag Race, for which he won an Emmy in 2016. Other than his height, a considerable 6′7″, RuPaul is an average-looking man with a pleasant, freckled face and an open smile. Dressed as a woman, with heels and bouffant hair, he is over seven feet tall and is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. Despite the fact that society frowns on cross dressing, RuPaul has battled seemingly impossible odds to become an internationally famous pop culture icon. “He is,” wrote Mim Udovitch in Rolling Stone, “…this nation’s preeminent drag queen pop star.” Although he seems suddenly ubiquitous, an overnight sensation, RuPaul’s rise to stardom was over a decade in the making, and a goal he has had resolutely in sight since childhood.
