R.I.P Sir John Hurt !

Sir John Hurt, who won Oscar nominations for the Elephant Man and captured the hearts of millions for his roles in Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, has died. The star, one of Britain's most treasured actors, died aged 77 at his home in Norfolk after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, it was revealed today. His widow, Anwen Hurt, today said it will be 'a strange world' with out the actor, whose death has prompted an outpouring of grief from the showbusiness industry, with director Mel Brooks and J K Rowling among those paying tribute. Mrs Hurt added: 'John was the most sublime of actors and the most gentlemanly of gentlemen with the greatest of hearts and the most generosity of spirit. He touched all our lives with joy and magic and it will be a strange world without him.' Sir John was well known for roles including Quentin Crisp in The Naked Civil Servant, the title role in The Elephant Man and wand merchant Mr Ollivander in the Harry Potter films.

Foxx, who hosts the game show “Beat Shazam,” last hosted the award show in 2009 – just days after Michael Jackson died. “This year’s @BetAwards are gonna be a party and celebration all in one cuz your boy is hosting and I’m #BackOnMyFunnySh-t so get ready,” Foxx, 50, quipped on Instagram. “We’re just gonna celebrate greatness and have a phuckin good time.” Meanwhile, Nigerian singers, Tiwa Savage and Davido, have been nominated for the Best International Act Music category at the awards. Both singers were nominated among international entertainment superstars listed for honours. American record producer and radio personality DJ Khaled tops the overall list, with six nominations.

BREAKING: South Africa Shuts Down High Commission In Nigeria​.

The South African high commission in Nigeria has shut down operations temporarily. According to eNCA, a South African media house, the shut down was necessitated by the need for safety of workers in the commission.
