A 6-year-old boy and his mother have been missing since his father handed him off to his mom at an NYPD station house in The Bronx on Sept. 7, police said.
The boy, Vincezo Dacchile, was brought to the 45th Precinct station house in Throgs Neck by his father at about 6 p.m. on Sept. 7 and handed over to his mother as part of a custody arrangement, authorities said.
Dacchile’s mother, 42-year-old Ketanya Burke, and his unidentified father are estranged from one another, police said.
Burke failed to return her son to his father, who he lives with in The Bronx, by the time the pair had agreed upon, authorities said.
She later sent an e-mail to the boy’s father claiming she was going to take him to Minnesota, a police source said.
Dacchile is about 4 feet tall and weighs about 50 pounds, cops said. He has brown eyes and short brown hair.
Burke, who lives in Queens, is about 5-foot-3 and weighs about 170 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair, police said.
