New York Times Mixes Up Angela Bassett And Omarosa!

The Grey Lady found herself red-faced Tuesday morning over an embarrassing photo-caption flub.

Early editions of the New York Times featured a photo Tiffany Haddish and Angela Bassett presenting Rachel Brosnahan with her Emmy for outstanding lead actress in a comedy, with a caption in which Bassett is identified as Omarosa Manigault Newman.

Eagle-eyed readers were quick to jump on the gaffe.

“oh my god the New York Times mixed up Angela Bassett with Omarosa,” tweeted Buzzfeed reporter Julia Reinstein.

The Times quickly responded to her, tweeting, “We regret running an incorrect caption from a photo wire service in some early print editions. We will issue a correction in tomorrow’s paper.”

Agence France-Presse, the wire service originally responsible for the incorrect caption, has since fixed the mistake.

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
