Cardi B and Post Malone Ineligible for Best New Artist at Grammys 2019.

Cardi B and Post Malone have been ruled ineligible for the 2019 Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, the Associated Press reports. Cardi was disqualified because of her previous nominations, according to the AP. (She was up for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Bodak Yellow” at the 2018 Grammys; Kendrick Lamar won both awards for “HUMBLE.”) In addition, a source familiar with the situation told the AP that Cardi was submitted for the 2018 Best New Artist award; Cardi was not nominated, and the award went to Alessia Cara.

Despite no previous Grammy nominations, Post was deemed ineligible in a vote by industry figures, according to the report. They determined that he has surpassed the status of a “new artist” because of the immense success of his 2016 studio debut Stoney, which included the hit singles “White Iverson” (platinum in January 2016) and “Congratulations” (platinum in March 2017). Pitchfork has contacted Cardi B and Post Malone’s respective representatives.

The 2019 Grammy nominees will be revealed on December 5. The ceremony takes place February 10. Beginning this year, eight acts can be nominated in the Best New Artist category.

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
