WWE’s flagship program Monday Night Raw is turning 25.
The USA Network show, which first premiered in January 1993, will mark its 25th year on air Monday with a supersized special featuring some of WWE’s biggest stars past and present.
Raw is one of the longest-running shows on television, airing 52 weeks a year. It has broadcast a staggering 1,287 episodes. That’s more than Cops, America’s Most Wanted, Gunsmoke and The Simpsons.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Undertaker, who appeared in the main event of the very first episode of Raw, and Shawn Michaels and Trish Stratus are just some of the names appearing. Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler, who provided commentary on the show at the height of its popularity, will also return. They will join some of today’s big names, including WWE universal champion Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, John Cena and Sasha Banks.
