Serena Williams Withdraws From Australian Open.

The seven-time Australian Open champion recently announced she wouldn’t attempt to defend the title she won here last year, saying she wasn’t convinced she could win it.

"After competing in Abu Dhabi I realized that although I am super close, I’m not where I personally want to be,” Williams said in a statement Friday. “My coach and team always said ‘Only go to tournaments when you are prepared to go all the way.’ I can compete - but I don’t want to just compete, I want to do far better than that and to do so, I will need a little more time".

With that being said, and even though I am disappointed about it, I’ve decided not to compete in the Australian Open this year.”

SerenaWilliams was pregnant when she won at Melbourne Park last year, her Open-era record 23rd Grand Slam singles title. She gave birth to her daughter, Alexis Olympia, in September.

As for the Australian Open ... she says she looks forward to coming back and competing another time.

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
