Her colleague, actress Ruth Kadiri, who confirmed her death, has taken to social media to compose an emotional tribute to her. Ex-NBA player Rasual Butler and his wife Leah LaBelle, a singer who appeared on "American Idol," were killed early Wednesday in a single-car crash in Southern California. Officers believe the car was speeding before it lost control. Butler had a long NBA career after an impressive run at La Salle -- where he was a 2-time First Team All-Atlantic 10 Player. He's a member of the La Salle Hall of Athletics. He went on to play in the NBA until 2016 -- with stints on the Hornets, Clippers, Bulls, Raptors, Pacers, Wizards and Spurs. Famous Nigerian rapper, Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as 'Baddosneh', lost his mother on Tuesday, which coincidentally was his son’s birthday. The rapper announced the sad news on his Instagram page on Tuesday with a post which read, “Orisa bi Iya o si” with broken heart emojis. “There’s no idol like a mother,” Olamide posted in Yoruba language. Olamide’s mother was survived by three children: the rapper, an elder sister, and DJ Enimoney. Both Olamide and DJ Enimoney have shared pitch black images on their respective Instagram pages. The 28-year-old rapper has received many condolences from fans, friends and followers since he broke the news. Sadly, he lost his father in the last quarter of 2015. His mum was the second wife of his late father.

WWE announced this morning Coach will join Michael Cole and Corey Graves in the booth on Monday nights. It doesn’t specifically state this, but the implication is he’ll be replacing Booker T. The Hall of Famer was only supposed to be an interim commentator himself while David Otunga was filming a movie last Summer, and ended up sticking around. Booker also has a wrestling school and promotion in Houston where he is running for mayor, so this will free up his time to focus on those efforts. Iconic mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey made her presence felt in Philadelphia immediately after Asuka won the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble Match. According to a story published by ESPN.com following Rousey's appearance, the former MMA star has reportedly come to terms with WWE to be a full-time Superstar. "This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt," Rousey was quoted as saying. "When I first met with Triple H, I told him, 'There are other things I can do with my time that'll make way more money, but I won't enjoy nearly as much.' "

Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley are the latest inductees in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Russell Simmons is currently battling a slew of sexual assault allegations, causing the popular mogul to step away from the limelight. Simmons’ ex-wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, showed support to the Def Jam co-founder and defended him against the recent chatter of misconduct and assault. “I add my voice to the chorus of those speaking out against harassment and violence in all its forms,” Simmons, 42, shared in an Instagram on Thursday (Jan. 25). Ovation Magazine Publisher, Dele Momodu, has said that the two-year rift between himself and popular singer, Davido, was the biggest challenge of his life. Mr. Momodu, a former presidential aspirant, disclosed this when he was a guest on an ongoing reality TV show ‘Celebrity Housemate’, in Lagos on Thursday. Mr. Momodu told the contestants that Davido’s popularity made the rift “bigger than fighting Abacha”. He said, “The Davido issue was my biggest battle ever. The latest update in the ongoing custody battle between singer and actress Jennifer Hudson and WWE analyst David Otunga is that Hudson wants Otunga to leave his role with the company and get a steady job, according to a report from TMZ. Roman Reigns has officially entered the 30 Man Royal Rumble match this Sunday night in Philadelphia. Reigns, who just lost the WWE Intercontinental Championship to The Miz on this past Monday’s edition of RAW 25, had not been advertised for the over-the-top-rope elimination match all week, although it was heavily expected he would be involved. The addition of Reigns for the men’s Royal Rumble this Sunday brings the overall count to 18 advertised names. The Special Adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Commerce, Deji Tinubu, is dead. Deji Tinubu, who was the former Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, died late on Thursday during a novelty match in the Epe area of Lagos State. Lagos State Executive members and other top government functionaries were in attendance. According to reports, Tinubu slumped in the field and was confirmed dead at a hospital in Epe.

WWE superstar and current cruiserweight champion Enzo Amore has been released by WWE after being accused of sexual assault. He is reportedly under investigation for those claims in Arizona. "WWE has come to terms on the release of Eric Arndt (Enzo Amore)," WWE said in a statement released on its website. With Amore being the current WWE cruiserweight champion, arrangements will obviously have to be made to crown a new titleholder, and at this time, there's no word on how the company plans to go about that. The claims against Amore surfaced on Twitter earlier Monday. Pro Wrestling Sheet confirmed with the Phoenix Police Department that a sexual assault report has been filed against Amore, and an investigation into the matter remains open at this time. Amore joined WWE in 2012 and made his debut on the company's main roster in 2016. He became cruiserweight champion -- his first WWE title -- in September and had been the face of the division ever since.

Two people have been killed and 17 injured in a high school shooting in the US state of Kentucky. A 15-year-old girl died at the scene at Marshall County High School in the town of Benton and a 15-year-old boy died in hospital, said Kentucky's governor. The unidentified attacker was a 15-year-old male student, who was arrested and is in custody. State police said he was detained about 15 minutes after opening fire at 08:00 local time on Tuesday. The lone attacker was a student at the school who opened fire in a common area before classes started, according to local media. He will be charged with murder and attempted murder, said officials. Princess Eugenie is to marry her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, Buckingham Palace has announced. The Duke and Duchess of York said their younger daughter and Mr Brooksbank became engaged while in Nicaragua earlier this month. Hulk Hogan‘s son Nick was hospitalized over the weekend. Nick, 27, was sent to the emergency room after he passed out near Hulk’s home in Clearwater, Fla., according to The Blast. The outlet reported that Nick “overdid it with work” and “didn’t eat enough that day” while training.
