Tyler Perry Begs Aspiring Actors to Stop Buying Billboards to Get His Attention: ‘Please Stop’.

Aspiring actors will go to great lengths to get noticed by their idols – including buying billboards to get the attention of filmmakers like Tyler Perry.

Perry took to social media Wednesday to say this tactic isn't the way to get a job with him, however.

"Soooooo...... here’s the deal. This is not the way to get my attention if you’re looking for a role in one of my shows. Please DON’T DO THIS, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!" he wrote. "This is the third time that someone has done this. PLEASE STOP! To audition is FREE!! I’m sure you can use that money for a better purpose."

He also shared a photo of one of the billboards in question, which reads "Attention Mr. Perry... Racquel Bailey is your next leading lady."

Perry spoke directly to Bailey in his post as well, complimenting her on a project he saw her in.

"You were great in THE NIGHT OF! It was my favorite show a couple years ago. I ALREADY SAW YOU!! So just audition and keep your money!!" he said.

Bailey then took to the comment section to thank Perry for posting about her billboard and giving her some "wisdom."

"This was my leap of FAITH and with faith you never know where it will land you or if it will even work. Sometimes we have to step out the norm and do something unconventional," she wrote. "Not everyone is going to agree or think it's a great idea. That's the chance I took! God Bless"
