An Oklahoma man and his wife were arrested after he fatally shot his daughter's boyfriend and his cousin because they were Black.
Manuel Quezada, 47, and his wife Angelica Quezada were arrested on Tuesday night after the shooting outside their home in Owasso, Oklahoma.
Police believe Mr. Quezada fatally shot Albert Thomas, 20, and Albert's cousin Dejon Ross, 21, because his daughter was dating Albert, pictured below left. One victim was shot inside a car while the other man was shot dead in the driveway.
Quezada had a gun visible in his back pocket when sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene. His wife was arrested for being an accessory to murder, according to Newson6.com.
The victims were going to see a movie when they were killed. Family members tell News On 6 that Albert never met Manuel Quezada. "Albert had never even met the man. [Manuel Quezada] would always tell her that he didn't want her being around black people," said Aleta Thomas, aunt of Albert Thomas. "He never met the dad until last night, and this man killed him in cold blood."
According to public records obtained by the DailyMail.com, the Quezadas have a 27-year-old daughter and two sons, ages 28 and 32. Thomas and his girlfriend had dated for two years, according to his family.
Thomas's mother created a GoFundMe page on Wednesday to raise funds for his funeral. Friends and family of the two men paid tribute to them on social media on Wednesday.
