Copyright infringement: Danny Young Sues Tiwa Savage For N205M.


A Federal High Court in Lagos State, Nigeria, has fixed November 5 to hear a suit by a musician, Olumuyiwa Danladi a.k.a Danny Young, against hip hop star Tiwatope (Tiwa) Savage, for alleged copyright infringement.

Young is seeking N205 Million in damages against Tiwa Savage for allegedly, using his musical work titled ‘ONE’ unlawfully.
The suit, labeled ‘FHC/L/CS/230/2019’ is pending before Justice Mohammed Liman.
Joined as second defendant in the suit is Savage’s former record label Mavin Records.

The ‘Omo Lepa’ hit singer filed the suit through his counsel, Mr Justin Ige, of Creative Legal, claiming the sum of N200 million in damages against the defendants for copyright violation.

The plaintiff filed the suit since February 13.

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

  Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
