Nigerian Government Declares May 1 As Public Holiday.


The Federal Government  Of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, May 1, 2018, as a public holiday to celebrate the 2018 Workers’ Day.

The disclosure was contained in a statement issued Friday in Abuja and signed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, Dr M. B. Umar.

According to the statement, “the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated Nigerian workers on their loyalty, strength of character, hard work, sacrifice and dedication to building a greater Nigeria.

“He appreciated the central role workers play in government activities and decisions, and for keeping faith with the present administration in its resolve to build a better Nigeria.

“Gen. Dambazau solicited the continuous support of Nigerian Workers in government’s effort to re-position the economy and uphold the shared legacy of all Nigerians. The Minister wishes all Nigerian workers a successful May Day celebration”.

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

  Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
