“Rowdy” Roddy Piper Statue Revealed At WrestleMania Axxess.

At WrestleMania Axxess, the late, great "Rowdy" Roddy Piper was immortalized with the unveiling of a life-sized statue in front of WWE Hall of Famers and the WWEUniverse.

Piper will be remembered as one of the best heel characters of all time and he rivaled Hogan’s popularity in WWE in the 1980 and early 90’s. He and Hogan shared lengthy feuds in both WWE and WCW. In his WWE years, he main part of the first-ever WrestleMania main event and while he never won the WWE Championship, he later went on to become an Intercontinental Title holder and spent decades entertaining fans.

One of the first cross-over stars into movies, Piper was also a huge star known to stir up crowds wherever he went. He was easily one of the best talkers ever to hold a professional wrestling mic.
