Simon Cowell was suited and booted for his date night with Lauren Silverman - but he forgot one vital thing.

The X Factor judge was spotted leaving the glamorous Nutcracker Ball in London on Tuesday night with the zip on his trousers left open right to the bottom.

59-year-old Simon appeared completely oblivious to his wardrobe malfunction as he posed for pics alongside partner Lauren.

While Simon threatened to steal the limelight thanks to the unfortunate flash of his underwear, Lauren still commanded attention in her stunning floorlength gown.

The red number featured a revealing halterneck neckline and cinched-in waist to showcase Lauren's enviable figure, while the flowing train added an extra touch of sophistication to her ensemble.
