Naomi Campbell Is the CFDA’s 2018 Fashion Icon.

Naomi Campbell is being (officially) recognised as the fashion icon she is.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell will receive the Fashion Icon Award at the upcoming award ceremony.

In a statement, Campbell said, “It is truly an honor to be recognized by the CFDA with this year’s Fashion Icon Award." Adding, "Being from London, my personal style has always been tremendously influenced by both the dynamic, ever-changing nature of street culture and the music scene. I grew up in this industry and I’m forever grateful to the iconic American fashion designers who have supported me and celebrated me throughout my career.”

Campbell will follow in the footsteps of other notable names who have also received the Fashion Icon Award. Beyoncé earned the honor in 2016, Pharrell Williams received the award in 2015 and none other than Rihanna was selected for the honor in 2014.

Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, who is also the CFDA chairwoman, said, “From enfant prodige to goddess of fashion, Naomi represents beauty, activism, and joie de vivre.”

As the first Black model to appear on the covers of both French Vogue and Time, Campbell is more than deserving of the honor. Campbell will be honored at the 2018 CFDA Awards which will be on June 4 at the Brooklyn Museum.

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
