Police Arrest 125 Persons Over Looting Of Shoprite.


The Lagos State Police Command has arrested alleged looters of Shoprite, a departmental chain store.

Irate Nigerians had attacked South African brands in a reprisal following the recent xenophobia attack in South Africa.

Area Commander of Shangotedo, Gbolahan Olugbemi, said a total of 125 suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack on Shoprite with 90 per cent of the stolen goods recovered.

According to the police, 112 of those arrested were found in possession of stolen items and have been charged to court.

Meanwhile, Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has visited the affected shopping malls.

According to him, at least 5,000 may have lost their jobs as a result of the attack on the malls.

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

  Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
