A BRAZILIAN gang leader made a brazen prison escape attempt by dressing as his teenage daughter.
Claudino da Silva, 42, pretended to be the 19-year-old girl and planned to leave the poor girl behind in jail, according to authorities.
He wore a pink t-shirt with doughnuts and love hearts and tight jeans as parts of the disguise.
On top of that, he put on a mask to make his skin appear smooth and wore a long black wig and glasses.
The convicted drug dealer's costume was so convincing that he was almost able to walk out of the front door of the feared Gericino prison in Rio de Janeiro.
Authorities said they only suspected something was wrong because he started acting nervously.

Da Silva, known as "Shorty", was filmed standing awkwardly with his hands behind his back as prison officials slowly removed the costume.
Guards took off his glasses and a straight black wig.
The tattooed inmate then removed his shirt, showing a black bra underneath.
He also took off his impressive silicon mask which had given him a smooth, teenage complexion.
Police are now investigating his daughter's role as a possible accomplice in the prison escape.
Another woman, who is pregnant, was able to avoid being searched.
Authorities - who described the breakout attempt as "an act of despair" - are looking into whether she smuggled in the outfit.
This isn't da Silva's first escape attempt. In February 2013, he was one of 31 prisoners who fled through the sewers of the Gericino Complex in a stunt similar to the film The Shawshank Redemption.
