It is now a known fact that the United States (US) police have turned their attention on Ghanaian actor and husband to Betty Jennifer, Chris Attoh in regards to her murder. Attoh, has been named as a prime suspect in his wife’s murder just days after a sketch of the suspect who shot Jennifer was released, Ghana Web reported.

George Matthews, a spokesman for the US police agency in Washington, D.C. confirmed that they are investigating Attoh’s tweet which came some few days before the murder of his wife.

Nowadays, you always want to look at social media. We are examining the actor’s tweet which came up a few minutes before the murder of his wife," said Mathews. “That’s all part of the investigational. As far as I know, Attoh is fully cooperating,” he added.

Shortly before her death, the actor had earlier sparked rumors of troubles in his marriage after he deleted all the pictures of his wife on his social media pages.

Chris Attoh is said to have tweeted on May 10, 2019 lamenting about loyalty in relationships. “When it comes to relationships, remaining faithful is never an option but a priority. Loyalty is ever …,” he said.

The Greenbelt Police spokesperson also said the killing happened in broad daylight, in front of multiple witnesses, right in front of an office complex.

"Around 5p.m. Friday, Jenifer walked out of the office building and headed to her car. She saw a man with a gun and started running," he said “(She) was chased by the suspect who fired multiple shots at the victim striking her twice, once fatally in the head,” added Mathews.

He further noted that investigators were casting a wide net to try to find the suspect as described in the sketch that was released by the police. The man is described as a black male, thin build, bearing a black, sleeveless top. He got into a blue vehicle and took off after killing Jenifer.
