Covid-19 kills 17 Nigerians in 24 hours, total cases now 13,873!



New 409 cases of Covid-19 were announced Wednesday night by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, with 17 people also dying in the last 24 hours.

The death toll increased from 365 to 382 overnight, while 145 patients were discharged.

The new national total of confirmed cases is now 13,873, with Lagos still carrying the biggest case burden.

Lagos recorded 210 cases, followed by the FCT Abuja with 85 cases and Delta with 22.

Edo State has 16 new cases, Nasarawa 14, Borno 14.

Kaduna, which lifted its lockdown on Tuesday recorded 14 new cases and Bauchi 10.

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

  Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
