Rapper DMX is holding daily Bible studies on Instagram.com amid the coronavirus pandemic. The 49-year-old Mount Vernon native began holding Bible study online last week to minister to those who are still on quarantine in their homes. The rapper, who became a born again Christian in between prison stints, took to Instagram Live on Friday to preach to the unwashed masses. The father-of-15, born Earl Simmons, has spoken candidly about his addiction to rock cocaine and other hard drugs. He began smoking marijuana laced with the drug when he was 14. On February 10, 2016, DMX was found unresponsive in a Ramada Inn parking lot in Yonkers. A bystander said he snorted an unknown substance before collapsing. No drugs were found on the property.

The Zamfara State Police Command has arrested  2 Chinese Nationals for allegedly engaging in illegal mining activities in the state. Eminem had a close encounter with an intruder who was able to get past security and into his living room. Police sources tell TMZ that the home invasion occurred earlier this month around 4 a.m. at the rapper’s Clinton Township house inside a gated community near Detroit. The suspect, 26-year-old Matthew David Hughes, used a paving stone to smash a kitchen window before climbing inside the house. An alarm went off, waking Eminem from his sleep while his security slept. Em got up to find the intruder in his living room. He called out for security before the guards came running to his aid. Police were then called to the home. Hughes was arrested and booked on felony charges of first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building. It appears that the intruder wasn’t looking to rob the house, and seemingly wanted a face-to-face with Eminem. Hughes remains in custody on a $50,000 bond at the Macomb County Jail.

It seems AEW(All Elite Wrestling) has found their own Brock Lesnar in Parker Boudreaux. Coming from Orlando, Florida, the 6ft 4 inch young footballer has been on the radar of WWE Hall of Famer, Jim Ross for years now. In a recent tweet, Ross responded to a fan and talked about the “New Brock Lesnar”, Parker Boudreaux: “Big money is earned, not awarded. Parker Boudreaux has been in my radar for 2-3 years. You do know that there’s ‘big money’ in AEW too.” said Ross. The resemblance between Lesnar and Boudreaux is indeed uncanny. “Brock Lesnar, I probably get that one every day. I will get Drago from Rocky. I will get Bosworth. Everybody has something. It’s pretty funny.” Parker said to Bleacher Report talking about people comparing him with celebrities. Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, famed for his romantic roles, has died of cancer aged 67. He was part of the Kapoor acting dynasty which has long dominated Bollywood, the Hindi film industry. The actor made a huge splash in 1973 with his first lead role in Bobby - a teenage love story. He played the romantic lead in dozens of films for over two decades, after which he made a successful transition to character roles. Rishi Kapoor debuted as a child actor in 1970 in his father Raj Kapoor's film, Mera Naam Joker.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his fiancee Carrie Symonds have announced the birth of a son. A spokeswoman for the PM and his partner said both mother and baby are "doing very well". It is understood Mr Johnson, who has just recovered from coronavirus, was present throughout the birth, at an NHS hospital in London. But he has now returned to work in Downing Street, No 10 said, where he is leading the response to the pandemic. He is expected to take a "short period" of paternity leave at some point later this year, Downing Street said. The couple have received messages of congratulation from across the political spectrum, and Mr Johnson's father Stanley said he was "absolutely delighted" and "thrilled" by the birth of his grandson. Helen Prest-Ajayi, Former Miss Nigeria, has lost her husband, Dr Tosin Ajayi. Ajayi died in Lagos on Monday April 27, but details of his death are still sketchy. His family members are currently making plans to bury him immediately. Late Ajayi was the Founder of First Foundation Medical Centre, a Lagos-based indigenous medical company and holds a Masters of Science in Cardiology from the National Heart and Lung Institute, (NHLI) Imperial College, University of London. He was married to Helen Prest-Ajayi who won the Miss Nigeria pageant in 1979. Rest in peace, sir.

Cain Velasquez has been released by WWE. While the promotion is yet to officially confirm the news itself, Dave Meltzer broke the story on this morning's episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, stating that the former UFC Heavyweight Champion was likely let go because of the big-money contract he signed with the promotion in 2019. Velasquez hasn't wrestled since losing a WWE Championship match with old MMA rival Brock Lesnar at Super ShowDown on 31 October 2019. Though he'd spent time training at the Performance Center after that, Meltzer reports that he hadn't heard of Cain working out in Orlando anytime recently. It isn't clear if Cain was let go as part of 15 April's Black Wednesday cuts or if this is a new release.

Nigerians on Twitter are reacting to photos and video of Prophet T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations praying on the mountain against the COVID19 pandemic in Nigeria and the world in general. The man of God who earlier prophesied that the Coronavirus pandemic would end on March 27th, went to the mountain along with his mat and pillow, to pray against the viral disease that has claimed the lives of 40 Nigerians. He stayed up in the mountain praying for four days. Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the photos with some of them claiming the man of God is stylishly self-isolating.

The two-year-old twins belong to a former Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrim’s Welfare Board (Muslim wing), Sheikh Taofeek Akeugbagold. Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Saturday, ordered the state secretariat to reopen for workers from level 13 upward to resume work on Monday. Makinde, who disclosed this in a statement, directed that all meetings in the state be held online and that no visitors allowed except absolutely necessary. The governor also disclosed that the dusk to dawn curfew in the State would be relaxed from 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. and to 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. in a bid to accommodate farmers this planting season. He said: “The state secretariat will be reopened on Monday, April 27th, 2020. Only civil servants at level 13 and above with separate offices will resume.” “The following guidelines are in place to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 within the secretariat: “There will be new security measures in place including having only one gate to serve as entrance and exit. All other gates will be closed.”

Frederick Thomas, AKA, Fred The Godson, has died from coronavirus-related complications. He was 35. The Bronx rapper revealed his diagnosis on April 6 via social media, sharing a picture of himself on a ventilator in the hospital. His wife, LeeAnn Jemmott, told Brooklyn’s News 12 on April 8 that Thomas was showing signs of improvement and no longer needed 100% support from a ventilator. However, a representative for Thomas confirmed to Complex that he had died on Thursday. Thomas first broke into the rap scene with his 2010 mixtape “Armageddon,” with features from Busta Rhymes and Waka Flocka Flame. Though Thomas never signed with a major label, he put out a consistent flow of projects from 2011 to 2020 with his most recent album, “Payback,” which was released just over a month ago. A notorious cult leader in Ugep, Cross Rivers State, popularly known as Jboy, has been killed during a clash with his gang members. Former Playboy Playmate Ashley Mattingly has died by suicide. She was 33. Mattingly was found dead last Thursday alongside a suicide note, the model’s family confirmed to People. Mattingly’s brother, William, and sister, Christy released a statement to the outlet, saying, “We learned late Thursday night that it is believed that our dear sister with a larger-than-life personality took her own life.” Their statement continued, “Ashley moved closer to home a couple years ago and was living in Austin. The Lagos State Government says it may commence enforcement of wearing of face mask in public places from next week. Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this known on Monday while giving an update on the COVID-19 at the State House, Marina. Sanwo-Olu said that one million locally-made face masks had been contracted to tailors and would be distributed during the week. He urged residents not to discriminate against those who had been treated and discharged as they were free to relate with their families and the community. The governor, who said the state had recorded 14 deaths, maintained there was no need for residents to panic. Gene Deitch, an American Oscar-winning illustrator, animator, film director and producer has died. He was 95. His Czech publisher, Petr Himmel, told Dene Deitch died unexpectedly during the night from Thursday to Friday in his apartment in Prague’s Little Quarter neighborhood. No further details given. Deitch’s movie “Munro” won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1960. He was also nominated for the same award twice in 1964 for “Here’s Nudnik” and “How to Avoid Friendship.” Earlier, he had created the “Tom Terrific” series, while the “Sidney’s Family Tree,” which he co-produced, nominated for an Academy Award in 1958.
