A 6.4 magnitude earthquake reported in California Thursday morning could be felt in Las Vegas.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake near Searles Valley in San Bernardino County, California, at 10:33 a.m. Thursday. That's about 120 miles west of Las Vegas.
There are reports of people feeling the quake in Los Angeles and Phoenix as well.
The Kern County Fire Department in California said it has crews surveying the city of Ridgecrest, which is close to the epicenter. The department said on Twitter it had nearly two-dozen incidents ranging from medical assistance to structure fires around the city.
A spokesman for the Nye County Sheriff's Office in Nevada says they have not received any reports of damage.
The USGS has also reported smaller quakes in the same area since then, with magnitudes ranging between 2.7 and 4.7.
This is a developing story...
