Johnny Depp Tops Forbes Most Overpaid Actors List.

Johnny Depp topped a Forbes list of the most overpaid actors in Hollywood for a second year in a row after a series of box office flops. The Pirates of the Caribbean star brought in just $2.80 (£2.20) at the box office for every dollar paid to him by production companies. It means nearly half the total profit of Depp's latest films were used to pay his salary. His latest box office flop Alice Through the Looking Glass grossed only $77m (£60m) in the US and $300m (£236m) worldwide. The gross production cost of Tim Burton's adaptation of Lewis Carroll's 19th century classic was $170m (£134m).
