A 21-year-old Florida man has told police he killed a mother of four and then had sex with her dead body — while her two-year-old child was in the home — just for the “thrill” of it.
Christopher Shows was arrested on Monday for the murder of Amanda Suarez, 21, inside her Okeechobee home.
“Unfortunately, it was no rhyme no reason. He just wanted to know what murder felt like,” the county’s sheriff-elect, Noel Stephen, told WPTV.
Police say Suarez recognized Shows, who had been dating her cousin, and let him into her apartment. Shows allegedly made a pass at Suarez, but the Christian mother rejected him. Shows then grabbed a .22-caliber rifle from his truck and shot her in the back as she tried to run out the door.
Police say he then dragged his victim into the kitchen, positioned her in the form of a crucifix, and had sex with her body. Detectives admit that there is no way to determine exactly how long the victim remained alive during the assault, and for how long of its duration she was deceased.
Police noticed Suarez’s cell phone was missing from the crime scene, but were able to “ping” it and track it down to the side of a nearby road. Investigators found a photo of Shows sleeping on Suarez’s couch saved on the blood-covered phone. Police believe Shows ditched the phone and burned his clothes in order to avoid leaving evidence behind.
Shows was booked on a litany of charges that included murder, battery, and desecration of a body.
The children are reportedly living with family members and receiving counseling.

He then posted grisly photos of her body to Instagram, 4Chan and the gaming website, Discord. Clark spent time photographing and recording the body. In one image her body is covered with a green tarp. He captioned the photos, "Sorry f----rs, you're gonna have to find some else to orbit," which is a term for men who lurk on a girl's social media page hoping for a hookup. In another photo of her bloody left arm, he wrote, "I'm sorry Bianca.” The bloody knife is seen on the passenger seat next to Devins' body. Instagram followers recognized the teenager from the photos and geolocated Clark using the metadata in the photos. Police received calls around 7:20 a.m., including a call from Clark himself.
