Antonio Rosales, 32, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Desiree Robinson, whose body was found in a garage in the 16200-block of South Hamlin Avenue on Christmas Eve. The Cook County Medical Examiner said Robinson died from injuries from an assault and ruled her death a homicide. In court on Friday, prosecutors said Rosales and his sister attended a party on the night of December 23rd in the same block where Robinson was later killed. As the party was thinning out, prosecutors said Rosales found Robinson on Backpage.com and invited her to the party. A witness told prosecutors Robinson came to the party with friends and later had sex with Rosales in his truck. Later that morning, authorities said Robinson and her friends met up with Rosales again and returned to the house where they had partied the night before. Queen Latifah joins the growing number of crime victims … her car stolen by thieves who had a penchant for punch. The incident went down days before Xmas in Atlanta. Latifah’s security guard took her 2015 Mercedes S63 to a gas station. As he stood by the tank and gassed up the whip, a BMW pulled up and the next thing he knew someone jumped inside, started the ignition and took off. Latifah, who was not in the car, was especially worried about a contract that was inside a Tumi bag that was tucked away in the truck. Cops sent out an APB and they actually found the Mercedes in an apartment complex. There was only slight damage to the car, but the thieves left behind lemonade and fruit punch bottles inside the car. As for the Tumi bag … it had been ransacked but the bad guys didn’t take the contract. Cops are looking at surveillance video, which could help them nab the thieves.

Actress Debbie Reynolds died at the age of 84 in Los Angeles on Wednesday, December 28, her son confirmed to the Associated Press. Reynolds' death comes just a day after her daughter, Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher, died at Los Angeles’ UCLA medical center at the age of 60. Reynolds had reportedly been distraught since Fisher suffered a medical emergency on a flight from London to LAX on Friday. "She wanted to be with Carrie," Todd told Variety after his mother's death. Speaking with the AP from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, he added that the stress of Carrie's death "was too much" for her.

Paul Simon spoke out about the death of his ex-wife Carrie Fisher on Wednesday. Simon, who has been married to Edie Brickell since 1992, shared his second marriage with Fisher between August 1983 and July 1984. Fisher died Tuesday morning after suffering what was described as a massive heart attack Friday while on a flight from London to Los Angeles. Fisher’s daughter, Billie Lourd, confirmed the death on Tuesday. “She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly,” the statement read. A 21-year-old Florida man has told police he killed a mother of four and then had sex with her dead body — while her two-year-old child was in the home — just for the “thrill” of it. Christopher Shows was arrested on Monday for the murder of Amanda Suarez, 21, inside her Okeechobee home. “Unfortunately, it was no rhyme no reason. He just wanted to know what murder felt like,” the county’s sheriff-elect, Noel Stephen, told WPTV. Police say Suarez recognized Shows, who had been dating her cousin, and let him into her apartment. According to TMZ, the incident with the “Sorry” singer happened when he was touring in Buenos Aires back in 2013.
