AJ Styles simply has the hot hand right now. Winning the WWE World Championship felt like the only option. Any other result would have been shocking as Ambrose has struggled to connect with fans since winning the WWE World Championship. Styles’ two victories over John Cena were not going to be squandered on a first-time world champion still trying to find his mojo.

WWE clearly still has work to do with the Dean Ambrose character to make him into a credible contender before another world title run. Styles, on the other hand, is in some kind of zone. Fans were strongly behind the new WWE champion and exploded in cheers when he defeated Ambrose using a low blow, which is exactly the type of shenanigans a villain needs to employ
