Forbes Names Wrestlemania In The Top 10 Most Valuable Sporting Events.


For the third consecutive year, Forbes has named WrestleMania one of the 10 most valuable sports events in the world. Ranking at no. 5 behind only the Super Bowl, Summer Olympics, Winter Olympics and FIFA's World Cup, The Grandest Stage of Them All is certainly among the most prestigious and elite global sporting events.

Fans from all 50 states and 35 countries descended on AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, setting a WWE attendance record of 101,763. WWE's previous attendance record was at WrestleMania 3 in 1987, when 93,173 fans filled the Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit.

Forbes notes that WrestleMania 32 generated a total of $29.4 million through a combination of live event, WWE Network and merchandise revenues, 18 percent higher than WrestleMania 31. Forbes also estimates The Show of Shows' brand value at $180 million..
