Miss Colombia Speaks Out: ".......... After The Storm Comes The Calm".

Ariadna Gutiérrez posted a new message to fans on Tuesday, thanking them for their love and support.

On Sunday night, a stunned live television audience watched as Gutiérrez  was awarded then immediately stripped of the Miss Universe title when it was revealed host Steve Harvey read the wrong woman's name as winner ( it was actually Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach). The moment resulted in a firestorm of media attention including some rather controversial statements about who really should have won the crown.

After the storm comes the calm," Gutiérrez  wrote in the message. "I want to thank each and every one of you who have sent messages of support and strength."

If this happened to me I would still be crying in my bathtub, finishing up my seventh box of wine or something, so good on her to yet again show such a strong display of grace under pressure. On Monday, she also posted a collage of photos from her brief time as winner, telling fans the moment "will always be with me."

Meanwhile, pageant officials have offered Harvey an invitation to return as host in 2016 , which I think is a brilliant idea. Who wouldn't want to watch what he does on next year's show?

Iran's keeper Zohreh Koudaei accused of being a man.

Iranian women's football team goalkeeper, Zohreh Koudaei, has been accused of being a man by the Jordan Football Association after she saved two penalties for a crucial win against Jordan.  As a result of these saves in a penalty shoot out which ended 4-2, Iran earned a place at the Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in the country’s history. The cup will take place in India in 2022.  Jordan FA is now asking for a gender verification check. Lol. Jordan FA President Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein took to Twitter to share a letter to the Asian Football Confederation calling for an official investigation into the sex of Koudaei.
