The organised labour has served warning of an imminent nation-wide strike over Federal Government delay in the implementation of a new national Minimum Wage. Mr Joe Ajaero, President, United Labour Congress (ULC) gave the warning in a communique issued after its meeting on Monday in Lagos. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the organised labour, made up of the NLC, TUC and ULC had on Sept. 12 issued a 14-day ultimatum to the government to state an amount to enable the minimum wage committee conclude its sitting. Labour had collectively demanded for N65,000 per month as the new National Minimum wage for all Nigerian workers as harmonized by organized Labour. Following the close of the acquisition, Michael Kors will change its name to Capri Holdings, inspired by an “iconic, glamorous and luxury destination” island, the company said on Tuesday. It plans to grow Versace to $2 billion in revenue globally and increase its retail footprint from roughly 200 to 300 stores. Michael Kors had already dipped its toes in European fashion, last year buying shoe brand Jimmy Choo for $1.2 billion. As part of the deal, Donatella Versace, who has helped run the company since her brother Gianni was murdered in 1997, will stay on to oversee the label. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Monday ,17th September,  made an impromptu visit to Pumwani Hospital and uncovered 12 corpses of infants hidden in boxes. The bodies were wrapped together in polythene bags and stuffed in three boxes inside a store as opposed to a mortuary. One box contained one body, another six and another five. The governor streamed the raid live on his Facebook account. Mr Sonko visited the facility on a boda boda, catching the management off guard. He said the visit was prompted by a video he had received showing some members of the administration ferrying bodies from the wards. “Conducting impromptu visit at Pumwani Hospital, where it’s alleged by members of the public that the management shut down the machines at the Maternity Wing, leading to loss of lives of young ones," he said during the raid. Real Madrid's Luka Modric claimed FIFA's The Best award for 2018 to end Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi's decade-long hold on world football's top player prize. Weam Al Dakheel entered the history books when she appeared alongside anchor Omar Al Nashwan to become the first female in the history of state-owned Saudi TV Channel 1 to present the nightly 9:30 newscast. Traditionally, men have dominated hard newscasts in Saudi Arabia, while female presenters focused more on soft morning newscasts, women's programmes, cooking shows and weather updates.
