Paul Orndorff, the WWE Hall of Famer known to fans as Mr. Wonderful, who fought against Hulk Hogan in the first WrestleMania, died Monday in Fayetteville, Georgia. He was 71. Mr. Orndorff’s death was announced by his son Travis Orndorff on Instagram. No cause was given. “Most of you will remember him for his physique,” his son said in the Instagram post. “Many will remember his intensity. But if I could only get you to understand and see his heart.” Mr. Orndorff was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, in the same class as Mr. Hogan. On Monday, Mr. Hogan paid tribute to Mr. Orndorff on Twitter: “Thank you for always making me fight for everything in our matches, heaven just got even more wonderful.”

  WWE Superstar Bayley out for 9 months after freak injury during training. Bayley was supposed to take on Bianca Belair in an ‘I Quit’ match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money in the Bank. Unfortunately, she will no longer be a part of that match.  WWE have confirmed that Bayley will be out of action for up to nine months following an injury.

The Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has suspended Yomi Fabiyi for gross misconduct, and unethical practices on his new movie ‘Oko Iyabo’.  It was announced on TAMPAN’s Instagram page on Friday after summoning the affected actor and his co-director, Mr Dele Matti to a meeting.  According to the press statement, TAMPAN found Fabiyi guilty of a few misconducts including attempting to cause social crisis with the film, using the real names of the people involved and factual events without their consent.  This, they argued, have negatively impacted the reputation of the association.  Meanwhile, Yomi Fabiyi was suspended indefinitely and his co-director, Matti for three months.  “Having listened to the detailed defence of Mr Yomi Fabiyi, who is the Producer/Director of the controversial film ‘Oko Iyabo’ and his Co-Director, Mr Dele Matti, the Ethic, Conflict and Resolution Committee hereby found them guilty of professional misconduct and unethical pr

  The body of late Prophet Temitope Joshua, popularly refered to as TB Joshua, has arrived the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) for lying-in-state. The pastor, televangelist, philanthropist, leader and founder of SCOAN died June 5, 2021, a week to his 58th birthday. A candlelight procession in his honor led by his wife, Evelyn Joshua, was held on July 4 at the premises of the church he founded in the Ikotun area of Lagos. The late Prophet, according to a statement released by SCOAN following his death, spent his last days on earth in the service of God. The statement also indicates that he uged beleivers to "watch and pray". Supporters of the late clergyman from different parts of the world arrived SCOAN premises early in the morning for the lying-in-state ceremony. They joined their Nigerian counterparts to line the road leading to SCOAN as the motorcade carrying the deceased Prophet's body slowly drove into the church premises. May his soul rest in peace. A

  Haitian President Jovenel Moise has been assassinated at home, according to the country’s interim prime minister. A group of unidentified individuals attacked the private residence of Mr Moise overnight and shot him dead, Claude Joseph said in a statement. The first lady Martine Moïse is in the hospital following the attack late on Tuesday, interim Premier Claude Joseph said. Joseph called the killing a “hateful, inhumane and barbaric act,” adding that Haiti’s National Police and other authorities had the situation in Haiti under control.

  WWE Hall of Famer and hardcore wrestling legend Terry Funk is reportedly suffering from dementia. During the latest edition of his Magnificent podcast, fellow WWE Hall of Famer Don Muraco revealed Funk has been moved to an assisted living home in Amarillo, Texas amid a dementia battle.

  The Cross River Police Command has paraded a man who allegedly killed and beheaded his aunt in Calabar South Local Government Area of the state. It was reported that the suspect, Christian Edem-Eyo,34, allegedly murdered Uduak Effiong Okpo, 65, and buried her head and the body separately on June 23. Briefing newsmen on Tuesday, July 6, in Calabar, Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Sikiru Akande, said that the suspect would soon be charged to court accordingly. The murder suspect told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)  that he killed Okpo because she belonged to the spiritual world. "I killed Uduak Okpo because she belonged to the marine world. She was terrorising me spiritually in the compound," he said. She was making my manhood to rise spiritually, that was why I killed her," he added.

  Family and friends are mourning a young lady, Becky Babatunde, who died recently during child birth, barely two months after her birthday. Becky, who was a makeup artist and based in Calabar, CrossRiver State, reportedly died a few days ago while giving birth to her daughter, who is said to be alive and healthy. The deceased, who turned a year older on May 20th, was laid to rest on Saturday, July 3 in Calabar.
